Our President's Message.....

I would like to start off by introducing myself, my name is Kate Johnson and I am very honoured to serve as the 2016 President of the Red Valley Saddle Club.  I would like to thank Sarah Van Wieren for her hard work, dedication and leadership to our club this past year! I would also like to thank all of our board and committee members and volunteers that made this past show season a success!

I have some exciting updates to share with you for the 2016 show season!!

I just want to start off by saying WE HAVE A NEW SHOW PEN!!!  Sand was added and the new fencing will be installed in the spring ! Thank you to everyone that made this happen.

We have added peewee Hopefuls to our show schedule.  These include Peewee Barrels, Peewee Lead line, Peewee Down & Back, and Peewee trail.  Be sure to bring those little people out to enjoy the fun with the rest of us!!

Again this year we will be having a fun class which will be organized by our youth committee.  All money raised will go to help the youth team to compete in the Teen Challenge.

We also have been discussing putting together a poker trail ride sometime this year.  As soon as details are available we will be sure to let everyone know so stay tuned for this fun event!

We are pleased to announce that we will be holding open riding nights which start at 6:30pm until dusk.  The cost $5 dollars a horse but you must be a member of Red Valley Saddle Club.  If you are not a member you can buy a day pass which is good for that night of riding only.  The open riding nights will be held on Thursdays and the dates are as follows: May 26, June 9 & 23, July 7 &21 and August 11.  This will be a good way to get those young horses out or just come and ride with friends We will also set up equipment for trail and speed events.  Be sure to tell all your friends!  Our riding dates will be posted on our facebook page be sure to check them out.

On behave of the red valley saddle club I wish you all good luck for the 2016 show season!
